Philips Surveyors LLP are an independent firm of Building Surveyors. The Partners, Philip Acton and Philip Wiltshire, have worked together since 1989 forming their own practice in 1997.

The practice philosophy is to provide a dedicated personal service to achieve high standards throughout all stages of projects to fulfill the brief and expectations of our Clients. Comprehensive knowledge of modern building technology together with expert experience of traditional restoration and historic building techniques ensure that Clients receive the correct advice tailored to suit.

OUR TEAM

Philip Wiltshire BSc (Hons) MRICS IMaPS gained his Building Surveying degree in 1991. During his industrial training year out with West Sussex County Council, he met Philip Acton and the ‘Philips’ journey began.

Philip Acton BSc (Hons) MRICS IMaPS received his degree in Building Surveying in 1992 whilst working for the Property Department at West Sussex County Council.

‘The Phils’ worked closely together for 8 years when in 1997 they decided to go it alone and form their own practice in Partnership. The business went from strength to strength necessitating moving to a bigger premises. In 2004 Gavin Mustion BSc (Hons) MCIAT joined Philips whilst also working towards his degree in Architectural Technology. Matthew Brockhurst Ba (Hons) ACIAT added to the architectural design team in 2009 vastly increasing the Philips’ capacity. The business continued to grow despite the economic downturn and a further Building Surveyor was brought in in the form of William Court BSc (Hons) MRICS MaPS in 2010 completing the Partner and Associate Partner line up.
