Worthing High School Window and Door Replacement

Design, Project Management and Contract Administration associated with term-time replacement of 345 windows and doors.

Philips Surveyors were approached by Worthing High School to assist with their CIF bid to obtain funding to replace 345no. single glazed steel ‘crittall’ windows and doors which were thermally inefficient and hazardous.

Firstly, a detailed condition report was prepared to provide impartial evidence of need. This was followed by a comprehensive Options Appraisal which considered different options and costings. Finally, having used the Options Appraisal to make an informed decision, a detailed specification including CDM 2015 pre-construction information pack (PCIP) was prepared in order to procure competitive tenders to demonstrate value for money.

With this information in hand, we assisted the School with the online CIF application prior to formal submission of the bid. Following the successful outcome, we worked closely with the School, providing a full range of consultancy services to ensure successful and on programme delivery of the project.

The project was completed on programme and to budget without any Health & Safety incidents.

TESTIMONIAL

“Philips Surveyors have successfully managed several major projects at our School. This critical project required careful programming and an appreciation of health and safety matters as students were on site during the work – all of these requirements were met throughout the duration of the project.”
